Nyansapo College signs Agreement with University of Cape Coast

At a simple but impressive signing ceremony held on 13th September, 2016 at the UCC campus in Cape Coast, Nyansapo College, among a few other institutions, signed an Affiliation Agreement and an MOU with the University of Cape Coast.

The Affiliation Agreement and its accompanying MOU are for the purpose of achieving the common objectives and mission statements of the two institutions with the sterling guidance of the University of Cape Coast which is the mentoring institution. In his remarks, the Vice –Chancellor emphasized the need for the mentored institutions to ensure the provision of quality education at all times.

Nyansapo College is a newly established university college conceived and established by its founders for the sole purpose of leveraging the quality and expertise of its Faculty members in International Relations and International Development Cooperation to contribute meaningfully and consistently towards capacity building of Africans operating in multilateral arenas around the globe.

With their practical experience in the diplomatic and international relations as well as development cooperation fields over the years, the founders, led by Ambassador James Victor Gbeho, Dr Mrs Mary Chinery-Hesse and Ambassador Nana Bema Kumi as well as Dr Alexander Kwame Archine have identified the understanding of the complexities in those two areas as being crucial to the work of Africans who speak and negotiate for Africa as a whole or for their respective countries and international organizations. Hence the establishment of Nyansapo College with a curriculum designed to enhance the knowledge of both serving officials as well as students who wish to operate effectively in any of the several specialized areas in the international field.

Classes for the flagship programme of Nyansapo College, a Master’s degree in International Relations and Development Cooperation of one-year duration, have since started on its campus at Nyansapo House in East Legon, Accra to offer participants a deeper understanding of current issues in international relations and development cooperation and an enhanced ability to carry out international negotiations with skill and confidence based on upgraded knowledge.
